Transfer Room
After 18 days of incubation, eggs are transferred from the incubators to the hatchers. This process is a critical step, and it happens at the transfer room.
Ceva Ecat-iD has designed innovative and unique equipment to operate in the transfer room such as the Egginject® In Ovo vaccination, Laser Life® candling system and additional automation.
As part of our commitment to ensure the highest quality of animal welfare and biosecurity, our transfer equipment is designed to meet the throughput capacity of today’s modern hatchery, up to 100,000 eggs per hour, while maintaining these high standards.
Key factors of success at the transfer room are:
- ensuring that candling process removes dead and non-viable eggs from incubation
- ensuring that all eggs are correctly positioned before in ovo vaccination
- ensuring that the in ovo vaccination is performed in a safe and precise way
- ensuring that the eggs are transferred smoothly and efficiently to the hatch basket
Laser Life®
Our latest egg candling technology measures the heat emission of embryos to identify and remove clear and dead eggs. With outstanding accuracy at very high speeds – up to 99.9% of fertile embryos are identified at 18 days. Laser Life® is 100% reliable for identifying and removing clear eggs at throughput speeds up to 60,000 eggs per hour.
Egginject®
Our state-of-the-art in ovo vaccination system uses double disinfection and patented dual pressure technology to deliver a safe, accurate vaccination to around 60,000 eggs per hour. Available for all sizes of hatchery, Egginject® is easy to operate and can be installed as a stand-alone system or part of a fully integrated solution.
Tray Reloader
Ceva Ecat-iD is offering fully automated tray reloading solutions, which can have both single or dual columns, and which are capable of processing up to 600 trays per hour depending on setup. With its smooth transition from belt to trolley, there is a minimal risk of disturbance to the hatching trays, ensuring a safe journey from the egg processing line to incubator.
Tray Unloader
The setter trays unloader is the solution for quick, smooth de-stacking of setter trays from trolley to processing line.
With a smooth motion, the transfer process imposes minimum stress for the chicks, which is fundamental. We can supply robotic solutions to reduce the risk of injuries due to the shock with fully controlled acceleration for all the movements.
